Turtle Dangles and Bubble Hoops
Process Work
The challenge behind this work was to create a pair of earrings only using linear elements - 925 sterling silver wire in varying gauges. My design is intended to be worn by people with double lobe piercings where the turtles are free to 'swim' below the surface (in the first piercing) while the bubbles stay at the top (in the second). An additional challenge was to integrate a free-form stone setting via makeshift prongs.
